Sorry Mr. Camping, It Won’t be October 21 Either!

I guess you’ve got to give Harold Camping credit for one thing, he won’t give up. Seriously, the man is a delusional false prophet, and I have seriously lost all sympathy for anyone who still follows him. His teachings are so full of errors, that my 9 year old son can pick them apart. The Bible very clearly and plainly refutes his claims, yet people are too lazy to pick one up and verify for themselves what he is saying. Listen people, test the spirits.

1 John 4:1
1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Just use the word of God to verify what people say. Harold Camping has received no special revelation, instead he takes unrelated Bible verses and strings them together, creating whatever message he wants to. I’ll give you an example:

Matthew 27:5
5 Then he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Luke 10:37
37 . . . Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise. ”

Obviously, this has been taken way out of context. The Bible does not command suicide, it condemns it. These two verses have nothing to do with one another, but to someone who doesn ‘t know any better, it could sound convincing. This is precisely how Harold Camping “teaches” the Bible!

The people who follow camping are precisely the type of people described in Hebrews.

Hebrews 5:12
12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.

Let me paraphrase this for you, “GROW UP!” That’s what the writer is saying, they’ve been lazy, and such is the case with the followers of Harold Camping.

Look, the world will not end on October 21! How can I be so sure? If the rapture were to happen today, it would be followed by 7 years of tribulation. That tribulation will be followed by the millennial reign of Christ,  that’s 1000 more years right here on this earth before it goes anywhere. The variable here, is the rapture, and we simply can’t know the timing of that.
