Have you ever asked these questions?
-Where will I spend eternity?
-Have I been good enough for God to accept me into Heaven?
-Does God really care what happens to me, anyway?
If you have been asking any of these questions, God wants you to have the answers. That’s why He gave us His word, the Bible. God wants you to know that He loves you, and He wants you to be sure about your eternity.
Did you know that we all do things everyday that displease God? That’s called SIN. The Bible says that we are all sinners:
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
The Bible also tells us that because of our sin, we all deserve death in Hell:
“For the wages of sin is death;…” (Romans 6:23a)
By our sin we have earned the death penalty. Just one sin, in your entire life, is enough to move you from Heaven to Hell, and we’re all guilty! But, there is good news!
“…But the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b)
The Bible tells us that God loves us too much to let us suffer the consequences of our sin.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
God’s word was clear, sin required death, someone had to pay. That someone was Jesus Christ:
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
That’s right, payment was made on our behalf. God sacrificed His own son for us. That’s how much He loves you!
The Bible tells us that if we just believe and trust in Him we will be saved:
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Its just that easy, we don’t have to work for it. In fact, we can’t earn our salvation:
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
If you are not a Christian, I hope that you will admit your sins to God, confess Jesus as your Lord, and believe! I pray that you will ask God for salvation, and if something that you have seen on this site has led you to make that decision, I would love to know about it.
May God Bless you,
